#PSMBEST is our way of spotlighting the student-athletes within the Platform Sports Management network who are excelling in their sport, academics, or personal journey. These are not just any athletes — they’re part of the Platform family, and we’re proud to have played a role in their development and success.
Sam has been in outstanding form for Fairfield University’s NCAA Division I men’s tennis team, securing two impressive wins at the No. 1 position. Currently in his senior year, Sam continues to build on an exceptional 2023–24 season.
Last season, he earned All-MAAC First Team honors at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles. He posted a 15-12 singles record, going a perfect 6-0 in MAAC play at the No. 2 spot, and won his final 10 singles matches played to completion — including a victory in the MAAC Championship Semifinals. In doubles, he went 19-11, tying for the team lead in wins alongside Nick Condos.
Partnering with Thomas Smart at No. 2 doubles, Sam also went 5-1 in MAAC matches, including a key win in the MAAC Championship Semifinals against Rider.
Fairfield University boasts not only a strong athletic program but also a highly respected academic environment — and Sam continues to thrive in both.

Luke Hitchcock is continuing to turn heads in the NCAA Division I track and field scene. Originally placed at Monmouth University, Luke later transferred to California State University, Fullerton, where he's now making a major impact for the Titans' track and field program.
At the Challenge Cup hosted by UC Irvine, following a strong showing at the Ben Brown Invite, both the Fullerton men’s and women’s teams finished third overall. The men’s team earned 135 points behind UC Santa Barbara and Long Beach State, while the women’s team scored 151 points, just behind UC Irvine and Long Beach.
A standout moment of the meet came late in the day, when Luke Hitchcock delivered a powerful kick in the men’s 800m, clocking a blazing 1:49.36. His time not only earned him a second-place finish behind UCI’s Angel Cordero (1:48.88), but also cemented his place among the top 800m performers in Fullerton history.
